Extra planning for the people and pets who depend on you most.
Guide · 1 min read
Large, multi-generation households and villas with helpers need a plan everyone understands. Give each person a role, in a language they speak.
In Sakeena you can tick each step and see your progress. It stays on your device. Open it as a checklist
Do now
- Infants: formula or breastfeeding supplies, bottles you can clean, diapers, wipes, safe water, a cool sleeping spot.
- Elders: medicines, glasses, hearing-aid batteries, mobility aids, a cool seat, a nearby toilet option.
- Disability: charge wheelchairs and devices, keep manual alternatives, write care instructions that another person can follow.
- Pets: water, food, carrier, vaccination papers, a cool shaded spot. Never leave them on hot ground.
Do within 15 minutes
- Brief helpers, drivers and older children on the plan. Give each a simple task: water, torches, cool room, pets.
Do in the first day
- Ask your health authority if there is a register for people who depend on powered medical equipment. Check the official source.
- Include neighbours who live alone in your check-ins.
Do daily
- Children: keep routines, offer quiet play and reassure them calmly. Calm adults make calm children.
- Update the plan after each birthday, new baby, or new helper.
